Live shows of the London band Girls in Synthesis are intense and unconventional; their noisy punk is dark, raw and loud.
Their most recent album “The Rest Is Distraction” (2022) is a bit less abrasive, yet not less exciting, than their ruthless, inflammatory debut “Now Here’s an Echo From Your Future” from 2020. The band has not played that many shows on the European mainland. Girls in Synthesis did play an overwhelmingly terrific show at Le Guess Who in 2021; now it’s time for Nijmegen. Their mix of classic pink, minimalist industrial, cold wave and hardcore is highly recommended to fans of Wire, The Fall, and modern acts like Sleaford Mods, DITZ and TV Priest.
